Open Secret

 

I've been wearing this Open Secret dress by PF Collection to 'death' since I've gotten it and because dark blue is such an easy colour to match, I've been playing around with colours, matching belts, shoes and bags of different colour palettes with it. Today, I was in the mood for yellow, (partly because I just got the neon yellow ring and belt :p) and decided to wear them with this piece. How lucky for us to spot a vintage Volkswagen Beetle, red no less, that matched my bag! My favourite part of the dress is the open back that shows just the right amount of skin for me to feel sexy, but not skanky!

Layering

I wore the ripple dress under a shirt for a night out to celebrate my boy and a friend's birthday. It was my first time wearing the dress and before experimenting with layering, I wasn't feeling quite confident to take it out because of its rather tight fit. Now that I've played around with layering, I'm absolutely loving this dress and can't wait to take the same design out in black out too. I'm thinking of layering crop singlets over that black piece and I think I've got just the right piece in my closet for that. 

I hope this post has given you some ideas on layering. Try putting shirts, cropped singlets or sleeveless blouses over dresses for a different look! :)

Wild Rose

Took the wild rose tunic out for a dear friend's birthday celebration. Paired with a pair of tailored shorts, it was the most comfortable outfit for a steamboat dinner and relaxed evening of chattering and playing with dogs. How cute are those two sleeping with each other!

Head In The Clouds

Spent yesterday trawling the malls, getting bored, heading to a guitar showroom where the boy played and sang some tunes, and ended up at 'Hood' the pub where the boy sang even more tunes, impromptu. The guitar showroom was really cosy and nice. I've always wished for Pink Flare to have a store like that - away from the bustling malls, in a quaint setting where everything is calm, pretty and cosy. Of course, my dream store does not make any business sense in the retail world so all I can do is keep my head in the clouds, and continue dreaming. :)

Behind The Scenes of a Pink Flare Studio Shoot

Shoes. Lots of it. We brought 9 pairs to the shoot this month. Sometimes, we go up to 20. A large part because I'm a shoe nut. It's best if we can find models my feet size... Then, we can really go crazy with the shoes because I have so many pairs of them! 

Clothes. Lots of it too, of course. We sometimes shoot up to 40 outfits in one session. Everyone gets really tired then, so we try not to be so harsh. It's great to put on all these outfits ,or to put them on the models - it's like playing dress up when you were young all over again. :) 

That's me! I need to look more glamorous on these things. Ditch the rubber bands round my wrists and loose that bushy hair knot yo! (I'm wearing the Midnight Prowl Playsuit, by the way.)

Sugar Rush

Hi everyone!

Hope you've all had a good Easter break. My little break consisted of going to the National Museum with the boy where we took these shots, a splendidly delicious Good Friday dinner at a friend's place, attending an extra long baptism Easter Vigil mass at church and more feasting at Easter dinner in a bit. No wonder the boy said whilst he was shooting me on Friday, 'Please help me out here and lose some weight!' >_<
