Lookbook Inspiration: Lunch Date

It is no secret that we girls constantly strive to look our best, especially if we have a lunch date with a guy we like! Pink Flare's Wallpaper Fit and Flare Dress is perfect for such an occasion.

Why did we pick this dress? Well, it's demure, but not run of the mill. Look pretty in blue without losing your sense of individuality. Loafers instead of ballet flats add a punch to the outfit, and throw on some accessories and you're good to go!

Camille’s (from camilleovertherainbow) take on the flutter skirt absolutely struck a chord with us. By pairing it with an oversized sweater and wearing the skirt low on the hip, she puts together a look that has a certain lazy elegance to it. 

Chiara Ferragni from theblondesalad (left in picture), wore the flutter skirt in an entirely different manner, but yet in an equally compelling way. Letting the skirt sit higher on the hip and pairing it with a t-shirt and leather vest combo, Chiara opted for a glamourous rocker chick look.

Here's a tip for wearing crop tops:

Proportions are key - If you have a cropped sweater, pair it with hip-hugging trousers. If you're wearing a bra top, avoid low-cut jeans and opt for mid-rise denim.

If you're not comfortable with showing too much skin, expose just a silver of it with high-waisted bottoms. This style really elongates the legs and gives you model-like proportions! 

Open Secret

 

I've been wearing this Open Secret dress by PF Collection to 'death' since I've gotten it and because dark blue is such an easy colour to match, I've been playing around with colours, matching belts, shoes and bags of different colour palettes with it. Today, I was in the mood for yellow, (partly because I just got the neon yellow ring and belt :p) and decided to wear them with this piece. How lucky for us to spot a vintage Volkswagen Beetle, red no less, that matched my bag! My favourite part of the dress is the open back that shows just the right amount of skin for me to feel sexy, but not skanky!
