Style crush: Dakota Fanning

Dakota schools us on simplicity!

Dakota Fanning has been on our style radar for some time now, and it’s about time we share with you guys just why we think her style is the bees knees. Opting for simple, understated pieces most of the time when she’s not on the red carpet, Dakota seems to have mastered the art of looking casual chic.

With her outfits revolving around key pieces like cotton/silk t-shirts that are extremely versatile and have high mileage, Dakota’s style is not only covet worthy, but attainable as well. To emulate her style, stocking up on a couple of t-shirts, a well-cut blazer and jeans/pants will do the trick. Always in simple, fuss-free, yet stylish ensembles, we can all take a tip or two from her in putting together the perfect casual chic outfit!

Put together your own Dakota-inspired versatile, casual chic style with the following Pink Flare pieces!

PF's Style Crush: Kate Moss

Everyone knows that Kate Moss's style is impeccable. Whether casual or formal, she always looks so chic and perfect (without looking like she has tried too hard). We were brain-storming on who to feature in our 'Style Crush' for this installment and it suddenly hit us, 'Kate Moss! How could we have never thought of her before!!!' Had the hardest time choosing favourite looks because she's just got so so many. Finally, after some brutal cuts - these are what I came up with. Enjoy!

She looked extra gorgeous at her wedding!
Love how pretty and understated the gown is.

To end off, here are some of Kate Moss's style tips:

And here's what the book, 'Inside The World's Most Famous Wardrobe, Kate Moss Style' by Angela Buttolph got to say about her:

"Kate Moss is the greatest fashion icon of our time. Endlessly watchable, never predictable, always natural and utterly unpretentious, her sense of style is innate, instinctive and impeccable."

This pretty much sums up Moss's style perfectly.

Hope you've enjoyed this installment of PF's Style Crush!

PF's Style Crush: Olsen Twins

This month's style crush features not one, but two girls. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, a pair of twins who have been in the limelight since the age of 9. They have grown up in the public's eye and have blossomed so fabulously so.

Often known for their pared down, layered style, I'm always so inspired when I see a photo of them. I love their use of textures, lots of blacks (which I personally love), pop of colours and wearable practicality.

Quoting Mark Holgate, Vogue Fashion News Director and Editor: "The Olsens get it right a lot of the time and then sometimes they don't get it right. That's actually great because it shows that it's their hands reaching into their wardrobes. They don't have someone telling them, 'This is cool, this is hot, this is what you should be wearing.' It comes from within them. It's instinctual."

Not only am I inspired by the twin's fashion and style, I am also highly inspired by their successful fashion labels, The Row, Elizabeth and James and Olsenboye. It is amazing how they mix business and fashion and have turned their labels into such successes.

Looking through my 'style file' - a folder of fashion pictures that inspire me, I find that I've saved tons of pictures of the Olsens through the years. These are some to share!

P/S It also helps a lot that they wear such amazing jewellery pieces!
